Arms Transfer Sketch
The unfolded transfer table contains a color pallette designed to express information about the subject matter. In this case the primary and secondary colors (first column on the left) represent arms producers. The tertiary and low saturation colors (second through fourth from left) indicate recipient regions and nations.
Bar width does not indicate quantity, but is utilized to accomodate typographic issues such as the varying length of regional or country names and consistency of text orientation.The image clearly empahisizes the arms relationships between nations that is not as readily apparent, particularly to the casual viewer, within regular tabular data.
